Summary

Within a document workflow, document visibility/access is based upon permissions set at workflow level; users partaking into document workflows can visualize, edit, comment and forward to other workflow steps, if they have permissions to. Entitled users can start the production of new document workflows and continuously monitor their status.

From a functional point of view this environment supports:

production and management of document workflows; creation and management of workflow roles; creation of document templates; generation of template-based reports to be associated to workflows; real document sharing where file access permissions vary depending on the current workflow step and on the user assigned roles; collaboration through annotations or comments at documents level; collaboration through a shared workspace; exporting of produced documents in OpenXML (docx), HTML, and FiMES XML.
