From a functional point of view this environment supports:
- production and management of document workflows;
- creation and management of workflow roles;
- creation of document templates;
- generation of template-based reports to be associated to workflows;
- real document sharing where file access permissions vary depending on the current workflow step and on the user assigned roles;
- collaboration through annotations or comments at documents level;
- collaboration through a shared workspace;
- exporting of produced documents in OpenXML (docx), HTML, and FiMES XML.
