The User's guide is targeted towards the end-user of a ''Virtual Research Environment'' (VRE). Provides instructions for using the VRE's end user facilities especially details regarding the available User Interfaces (search portlets etc.). The document should also reference any known problems, limitations, problem reporting etc.

Focuses on the community portals the provide access to the VRE capabilities for content management and collection search/browsing. The guide conceptually comprises of two parts: a common part that described common functionality offered from any portal, and and application specific part describing the two portals implemented in the context of diligent for the ARTE and ImpECt communities respectively. The guide conceptually comprises of two parts: a common part that described common functionality offered from any portal, and and application specific part describing the two portals implemented in the context of diligent for the ARTE and ImpECt communities respectively. The guide also include a chapter on User security describing the basic security concepts and established procedures that a user should know and follow respectively, in order to access a gCube community portal.
